Every year, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) hosts an event to acknowledge the best designers in the business. The Award show sees everyone, from the hottest designers and models to all the icons in the industry. Naturally, a fashion event of this magnitude calls for some genius sartorial choices. And that’s exactly what we saw last evening at the 2016 CFDA Awards.
Take a look at some of the best-dressed people in attendance, and don’t be surprised if they’re all women.
She took home an award for Fashion Icon of the year, so obviously she’s the first one on this list. Beyoncé was dressed in a Michael Jackson inspired Givenchy suit paired with a wide-brim hat for maximum effect.
Red and pink seems to be a combination that never goes out of style. Just to remind you how good it looks, American actress Jamie Chung wore the combination in a dress by Banana Republic
A fashion party would be incomplete without Naomi Campbell, don’t you agree? She picked a daring, cutout number by CFDA award winner, Brandon Maxwell on the red carpet.
She was Michael Kors’ date last night and wore a classy, glittering white number made by him.
Easily one of the best-dressed woman last night, Adriana Lima ditched a formal gown and went for pants instead. She wore separates by CFDA award winner, Marc Jacobs.
Dressed in Roberto Cavalli and Stuart Weitzman, Ciara was hot enough to stop traffic last night!
Wearing Jonathan Simkhai to the awards, it’s hard to imagine anyone having eyes for anything else besides Jourdan Dunn in that sheer dress last night.
The dress Karlie Kloss put on wasn’t something we expected from her, which is what made it stand out even more. She wore Rosie Assoulin with Stuart Weitzman shoes.
If Tilda Swinton is on the guest list, her outfit will always be something to look at. She’s wearing Haider Ackermann and tbh, we can’t get enough!
With her baby bump on full display, Olivia Wilde picked Rosie Assoulin to dress her. Here’s what she said about it on Instagram, “She (Rosie) let me and my kid wear this awesome dress, featuring a window so the babe could clearly hear Beyoncé's speech.” Haha
Mary Kate, Ashley & Elizabeth Olsen
While we’re guessing they’re all wearing The Row, we’re definitely not surprised with the color they chose. Known for their notorious black addiction, the matching Olsen trio definitely made heads turn last night.
While these outfits were what we had eyes for, the real winners from the evening included accessory designers Paul Andrew and Mansur Gavriel, menswear designer Thom Browne, Donna Karen, Alessandro Michele among others.
