5 Amazing Beauty Products To Try This April

Komal Basith

One of the unarguable perks of being a beauty editor is getting to try lots and lots of gorgeous beauty products, but let it be known that there are drawbacks, too; namely, the phenomenon that is beauty FOMO. Sure, a product may seem great and work really well for me, but (cue Sex and the City voice) I can’t help but wonder if there’s a better product around the corner that I just haven’t met yet; kind of like what dating in NYC is like, or so I’m told.

Still, I love talking about all things beauty, which is fortunate, considering my profession; and I’ve recently made a foray into this little thing called beauty vlogging by way of this video, live on YouTube as of this morning.

It's a roundup of a few of my favourite beauty things that I’ve been reaching for almost every day over the last month – and considering how many products I’m constantly being sent / buying / planning on buying, if I’m using a product every day, it’s because the stuff is good.

Without further ado, we have:

Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder Eye Kajal

Smooth, buttery, smudgy goodness that has me dreading the day I run out because I don’t know if they still make this one. I’ve included it because the entire VB x Estee range is a good bet – the products are exceptionally high quality and instantly lust worthy.

Pixi Glow Tonic

If you haven’t heard of Pixi Glow Tonic before, it’s a glycolic acid and witch hazel toner that, if beauty bloggers and YouTube vloggers are to be believed, contains unicorn tears and will make your skin look like it’s been kissed by an angel. The hype is mostly justified.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum

A brightening serum with a potent mix of Vitamin C and salicylic acid that claims to target uneven skin tone and delivers on its promise.

Dior Diorshow Pump n Volume Mascara

Thicker, fuller lashes without clumping? Now possible thanks to this new iteration of the classic range of Diorshow mascaras. Great for a false lash look without actually having to wear falsies.

Available at all Sephora stores.

Clarins Instant Light Comfort Lip Oil

An ultra hydrating lip oil that contains menthol for a lip plumping effect, but can also be used as an all-round treatment for soft, smooth lips.

Available at all Sephora stores.
