You can’t go wrong with neutrals and a whole lot of swag!
Okay, so we know it may seem like we're a tad bit obsessed with denim. But over the past couple of months, we've found ourselves with a stockpile of denim jackets and we hate to admit it, but we've had some trouble styling these beauties all while not looking like we've come out of a cheesy 70's sitcom.
So, we decided to do some much-needed research and went through a hoard of celebrity style pictures and rounded up a bunch of our favourites. Take a cue from their stylist’s book and rock denim like a pro!
Kim Kardashian West
Kim K wore a corset, t-shirt dress under an oversized denim jacket, sitting off-shoulder. If you opt for a t-shirt dress, try wearing a belt underneath or wear a dress that cinches in because, with all those loose-fitting garments, you’ll want a little definition.
Want to try the denim-on-denim trend? Wear a Canadian suit, jeans or skirt, and break it up with a casual tee in between. Even if the denim jacket is oversized, make sure everything else is perfectly fitted and you wear the outfit with chic shoes.
Looking for that super chill vibe? Wear your denim jacket with a long t-shirt and leggings. Sneakers or booties can complete your look! Like Deepika’s outfit, this is perfect for travel too.
She’s a supermodel; so let’s take it from her. Denim capes are really cool right now. You can wear them with tapered trousers and a fitted, tucked in blouse. Once again, throw on sneakers… or maybe even a cool pair of heels to take the look from day to night.
Rihanna does the Canadian suit with a denim skirt too! This one’s full denim on denim, so if you think you’ve got the swag to pull it off, then go for it! Plus, it’s a great way to wear a cropped denim jacket.
If you’re wearing different shades of denim, you might as well do it all the way! Dress it up with rocker chic, punk accessories for a 100% badass feel.
Alia Bhatt in colors and prints that are all over the place, but somehow they still look put -together. The key is, throw in neutral sneakers and a denim jacket on any dress… you’ll be fine!
