Who else has oily skin and feels like an eternal Goldilocks when it comes to finding the right foundation? I want something that offers enough coverage to hide my pores on greasier days and something that won’t slide off in two hours, all while making my skin look like it’s my own, but better – dewier, glowier, but never shiny. I thought I’d come close to finding one that was just right with Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation – it covers my pores and stays on for hours, like magic – but truth be told, it was a little too matte for me – no glow.
It’s tough being an oily-skinned girl in a world obsessed with strobing, when you want something that nixes the shine while adding a bit of radiance. Is that such a big ask?
It seemed like one, until Estee Lauder released the follow up to their Double Wear Foundation, this time in a cushion formula. We talked about it when it launched earlier last month; I’ve been using it since and I’ve got to tell you, it’s sheer gorgeousness.
The formula is just a little more sheer than the original but still manages to provide loads of coverage while still somehow imparting a subtle radiance to my skin. I don’t know how they’re doing it, but I’m just glad someone is.
The other feature that’s got me excited? The staying power! Here I am at the end of an 8-hour day – you’ll notice that my skin looks matte but dewy, that magic combination us greasy girls have been searching for all these years.
It's a duckface miracle! ✨ 8 hours later and @esteelauder's Double Wear Cushion Stick foundation is still radiant, still glowing and still on! Love love love this stuff. . . . . #foundation #esteelauder #selfie #beauty #makeup #makeuplover #makeup #review #getthatglow #picoftheday #instabeauty #instalove #duckface
Well, the search is over! Get yourself to an Estée Lauder store as soon as you can and ask for the Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick; the foundation comes in a variety of shades and is super adaptable, so you’re guaranteed to find one that feels like it was made for you!
