Amazon India, seller of Kindles (magic devices which store up to 50,000 books and allow you to buy new ones in seconds – seconds!) has just launched a luxury beauty division, and there are some pretty exciting brands in the mix.
Granted, the selection is currently quite small (or curated, if you're being polite), but it’s a great start, with French brand L’Occitane, cool Brit hair care brand Jo Hansford (granted, that's some expensive shampoo, but it's magic for damged, colour-treated hair) and my favourite Scandinavian skincare legends Ren all currently on offer.
There’s also Dermalogica, Leighton Denny, Crabtree & Evelyn, Gentlemen’s Tonic, Temple Spa and Pangea Organics, among others.
And because it’s always a good time to treat yo self, here are a couple of things to look for in the snazzy new beauty section.
Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask
Fruit on your face isn't really a good idea (the raw enzymes make you immensely susceptible to sunburn), but suspended fruit acids on your face? That's a different story. The glycolic and lactic acid mask eats away at the top layer of your skin cells – how Halloween appropriate – to give you super bright, glowing skin. You’ll see what I’m talking about after use #2.
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
I'm not exaggerating when I say this is easily one of the best cleansers ever made. I know someone who turned around on his way to the airport because he forgot to pack his - which sounds crazy, but only just a little. Why? The rice enzyme-based powder cleanser makes any skin type look brighter, smoother, better, instantly. It also lasts for absolute ages.
Pangea Organics Brazilian Brown Sugar with Cocoa Butter Body Polish
In addition to making you smell like chocolate cake (which can make for confusing times for your partner), this scrub leaves skin so smooth, and is hydrating enough to allow you to skip moisturiser entirely.
