The Only Eyeliner You'll Need This Diwali

Komal Basith

Just in time for Diwali, M.A.C.’s latest launch is a nod to kohl, an Indian beauty mainstay. The Kajal Crayon comes in six shades ranging from a deep, rich plum to a creamy white that can be used to highlight and brighten the eyes, although it’s the black and brown shades that have proven to be the most versatile in my makeup kit.

Soft and easy to smudge, the liners stay put once they’re on, and can be used to tightline around the waterline. although they even double as a foolproof eyeshadow that can be blended out with your fingers or with an eyeshadow brush.

A word of caution, however - the shadows don’t travel well, as I realised on a recent trip to Sri Lanka, where the caps came apart in my makeup bag - barring that one little gripe, these little babies made doing my makeup a 30 seconds or less job while on holiday, and for that they’ve earned a permanent spot in my makeup kit!

Rs. 2,100 each, available at M.A.C. stores nationwide and on Nykaa.com.
