What are your favourite beauty brands?
I'm loving Colorpop right now – they make some of the best cream eyeshadows. It Cosmetics makes my current favorite brow pencil called Universal Brow Pencil. I give it to all of my friends because the neutral taupe color works with all hair and skin colors.
Korean beauty brands have been another obsession of mine for years now; I swear by their skin care products. Cremorlab, Be The Skin and Mizon are my favourites. At night, I use the Quasar MD Plus Red LED light therapy device to rejuvenate my skin.
Three products you cannot live without.
It has to be a concealer for everything it’s capable of, from masking blemishes and raccoon eyes, to drawing attention to your eyes and cheekbones. I use em Shade Play Color Mixing Concealer Palette to spot-treat discoloration around my eyes, lips, and nose.
Second, a rosy matte lipstick that can also double as blush. It’s all about playing double duty with products! On days I just can’t decide, e.l.f. Mineral Lipstick in Natural Nymph – a nude colour – works magic.
Next, a nice black eyeliner like em Waterliner is great, because you can do some serious multitasking with this one – even as a lip liner! If you give it a quick blast of hot air, you can use a spoolie brush to comb it through lashes as mascara, or apply it as a gel liner. Because the heat thins it out, it also triples up as an eye shadow, creating a gray color that you can then work into a black shadow.
Who are some of your favourite vloggers?
I’m constantly inspired by creators on YouTube, Instagram, Vine, and Snapchat.
Before I go to sleep, sometimes I get sucked into the black hole of the Internet and get so inspired by all of the amazing creators on YouTube, Instagram, Vine, and Snapchat. I’m currently loving Jamie Greenberg and Natalie's Outlet.
One quick beauty fix?
I use an angled eyeliner brush, dip it in mascara and use it as a gel liner. It actually lasts longer than actual gel liners because most mascaras are waterproof. Great for the beach!
One person you look up to beauty-wise?
Not a person really, but the Ipsy community. I’m inspired by the authentic beauty you see in the common woman and man.
