Street Artist Jas Charanjiva

We’re all about the boyfriend jean at the moment with the launch of the new Levi’s 501 CT, a customized, tapered, slouchy take on the classic 501 jeans. To celebrate, we asked four incredible women in fashion, art and music to tell us how they wear theirs– first up was musician Saba Azad, followed by street artist Jas Charanjiva soon after.

Originally from Toronto, Jas moved to California when she was twelve, fell in love with street art, and never looked back. We spent a day with her in Bombay, following her around with our cameras as she created a Bowie-inspired street art piece in the heart of Bandra.

Watch the video to see how the muralist and co-founder of Kulture Shop injects humour (with a message) into the streets of Bombay and changes the conversation about what art really means, all while wearing fashion’s favourite new jeans.
