Tessa In Blue Mascara and Fuschia Lips

Naaila Khan

We don’t know how much this rings true with you, but we’re definitely hungover from the no-makeup makeup trend that enjoyed more than its moment. And correct us if we’re wrong, but one sure shot way to get over it is to dive right into the throes of colour! Lots of it. Well, two standout ones in this case – or look – that we painted on Tessa – a very interesting electric blue and a bright fuchsia pink.

Whether you’re frequenting breezy pool brunches this summer or club hopping the city by storm, a brush of blue on your eyes and a swipe of pink on your lips is all you’re going to need. Sounds way too simple? Well, that’s because it is! Do your base – or don’t – because this fun party look turns out just as great; all the attention is drawn to the eyes and lips. It’s easy, versatile and quite the head turner.

Since pretty much everyone believes in the undeniable power of mascara, we’re guessing this step is included in your makeup routine, anyway. Now just swap it for this striking blueInglot Colour Play Mascara X two coats, and your eyes are done.

Second, go over your lips with a good helping of a matte fuchsia lipstick. No lip liner or messy gloss business. You can switch our NARS Schiap with an almost identical alternative – Maybelline Super Stay in Non-Stop Red. The shade works especially great on all Indian skin tones, and lasts for hours without any touch up. You can even dab it on for a stain pigment effect, if you’re not particularly feeling bold lips.

If you’re going for a full face, wear your base, up your eyebrow game with a touch of eyebrow powder/pomade and some primping, and maybe add a hint of highlighter on your browbone so it catches light. Leave the cheeks bare and let your eyes and lips do the talking. As for hair, an updo goes especially well.

Fifteen minutes tops. Face on fleek.
